I'm new to the server so I registered my accounts, downloaded RPHTiny and logged in successfully. I've been trying to download game data for about 4 hours now. Everybody keeps telling me it will download if I just leave it on the log in screen but when I do this both my resource monitor and task manager show that World of Warcraft is using 0mbps of network usage.
The only time it seems to be downloading anything is if I travel around the map. Even if I'm in game and sit in the same spot for a while it will eventually slow down to around 0.01mbps. It won't even try to download things like skill icons or the map unless I open the appropriate tab.
Even when I'm traveling around the map, the MAX network usage I get is about 20mbps for very short bursts but I'm averaging less than 1mbps. (My Internet download speed is consistently 90-110mbps)
After 4 hours of running around and searching the forums for a solution, my WoW folder is only at 2.5 GB.
It isn't just that it is slow, otherwise I'd just leave it running overnight; it is that it will only download if I'm actually in game where I'd eventually go AFK, inactive, and be logged out.
I've used both Wow.exe and Wow-64.exe, both run with or without running as administrator.
Is there something I'm doing wrong?
