Reminder that you can now chose in Rank Manager whether player can only manipulate (e.g delete) his own gobs/npcs. Phase owner can now also change color of specific phase ranks a.k.a name color in .ph ann

New command: .phase playlist #SoundID #LengthOfASongInSeconds will let you make phase playlists e.g 10 songs that will keep playing on loop from 1-10 and repeat. Every consecutive command use the song is added to the list. Use .phase pl clear to clear the playlist

The Venomtusk are a Forest Troll tribe of mercenaries looking for more members to expand their operations. They are known for worshiping a serpent Loa they call Ula'thiss, fabled by its potent toxin that enchants the tribe's weapons. They are established in the heart of the Hinterlands, rivaling against several of the local tribes for territory, among them the Vilebranch and Witherbark. They had sealed a truce with the Revantusk solely to accept mercenary contracts from the Horde to gather resources to enpower their tribe against their enemies. However, their relations still remain sensitive after the Banshee Queen assumed the position of Warchief, leading the tribe to grow even more resentful with the proiminent role of the Forsaken and their leader of high elven heritage.

 

While they quarrel with the Vilebranch in the east, the west is overrun by the Alliance, with the Wildhammer Clan and Quel'dorei farstriders allied against the trolls. In this multi-sided conflict the Venomtusk fights to protect their home. The elders believe the only answer may be expansion. The tribe must not stay cornered forever, otherwise it may wither as time passes and the troll empires of old still grow weaker. They believe mercenary work will make them resourceful, and sacrifice to their serpent Loa will make them stronger and deadlier.

Current phase:

So far the guild concept is in early stage and there is a small phase built for now. It is basicly composed of the small village the Venomtusk built after taking Vilebranch territory in the ruins of Agol'watha in the Hinterlands. Apart from several huts for housing, it currently has:

 

Current plans:

The plan now is to gather interested folk in the guild to develop a storyline to be promoted in the phase. The initial idea is to start small with a simple village and a striving tribe, and slowly expand their domain across the zone in a multi-sided war, taking settlements from the rival trolls and even from other factions. The long term goal might be the ascension of a troll empire in the region, taking into account potential relations and intrigue to major factions such as the Amani and the Zandalari, travelling the globe with mercenaries and ambassadors to further cement the tribe's influence.

 

Paired with the war and expansion, the idea is to develop subplots involving mercenary missions taken by the members, which can include crossovers and partnerships with other phases or guilds. The empire may start in the Hinterlands and further extend itself to Arathi or even Hillsbrad. Of course that is all up for discussion and we accept suggestions from potential new members of this project.

 

Who we are recruiting:

We are looking mainly for Forest Trolls to integrate the guild, but there is potential to consider other trolls in, if they respect their serpent Loa and honor their traditions. Other races may be integrated as allies, ambassadors or hexxed slaves within the ranks. The classic roles in troll society are free to be applied for, such as Berserkers, HeadhuntersShadow Hunters, Bat Riders, Primals, Witch Doctors, Shadow Priests, Shamans, Hexxers, etc.

It was discussed with a few members and decided to bring the topic here. We were wondering if the community may consider the majority of the guild being composed of Forest Trolls too restricting, and how broad the acceptance of other troll subraces into the guild should be in order to keep the tribe's identity.

In my own opinion, I suppose allies and emissaries from other troll cultures could be brought into the guild, as long as a majority of forest troll was still mantained. All of this at least in an early stage, and as the tribe progresses to something bigger in the shapes of an empire, it could accept even more trolls from all of Azeroth.

I'd love to see some suggestions and opinions on the matter and other concepts that could be potentially explored in the storyline for the guild/phase. Considering some tie-ins to the ongoing Zandalari arc and Zul the Prophet's influence across the land.

Tribes are families. Kin is important. If you're a forest troll, then jungle trolls are not your kin. Vice versa. Only allow forest trolls if you want tribal roleplay.

Kind of active. Guild recruitment didn't work in its current state. People weren't too interested in playing Forest Trolls and wanted to join with other troll subraces. So it might be necessary to rework the guild concept to perhaps something bigger. I wanted to start with something smaller and simple, but gonna have to broaden the concept to a troll empire and accept all their variants into it. But that will require a larger phase with more content.

This actually sounds interesting, I'd like to join on one of my alts (if it's still active), but I'd definitely need some help on lore, because trolls are probably the major race who's lore I'm weakest on.
