Reminder that you can now chose in Rank Manager whether player can only manipulate (e.g delete) his own gobs/npcs. Phase owner can now also change color of specific phase ranks a.k.a name color in .ph ann

New command: .phase playlist #SoundID #LengthOfASongInSeconds will let you make phase playlists e.g 10 songs that will keep playing on loop from 1-10 and repeat. Every consecutive command use the song is added to the list. Use .phase pl clear to clear the playlist

Can't get scripts to run when I fill in the emote ID box

Going off of the http://rpheaven.org/emote_text.html

I couldn't find anything about the function not working, so i'm wondering how i'm fucking it up

Going for the /shy emote.  I've tried both (84 and .84)

ID for shy is 24, I think.

cuz some spells that are self-only need Target cast spell action type to work and in turn give false impression event didnt work

Im still pretty new so im not sure I know what you mean by "action type." Spell id's worked fine, but i'm running into issues when I try to enter a new text string into the script.

Also worth noting that even when I cut out npc number 1 and make npc 2 set to "periodically," the emote still won't go through. The text will, but she doesn't do the emote regardless of target

http://rpheaven.org/emote_text.html is when you want NPC to do something when you for example /laugh AT THE NPC and should only be used when when you select "On Received Emote event"

http://rpheaven.org/emotes.html is when you want NPC to emote

 

in your case, when making Text you should be using NPC Emote ID so from http://rpheaven.org/emotes.html  not 84

The other part where you make NPC say the text you did correct, also when NPC is doing something that logically doesn't require target (like emote) you can just select Target Type -- self.
