Some NPC Script updates. Addition of Target Type "NPC with specific GUID" and Action "Pause Waypoint Movement", so now the scripts can finally target specific npc based on guid

Reminder that you can now chose in Rank Manager whether player can only manipulate (e.g delete) his own gobs/npcs. Phase owner can now also change color of specific phase ranks a.k.a name color in .ph ann

NPC scripts now work in all phases that you own, additionally phase ranks now contain "Can Use NPC Scripting" option, so everyone who has Scripting perk can now promote people and let them help with scripting the phase

New command: .phase playlist #SoundID #LengthOfASongInSeconds will let you make phase playlists e.g 10 songs that will keep playing on loop from 1-10 and repeat. Every consecutive command use the song is added to the list. Use .phase pl clear to clear the playlist

Please note that this format consists largely of the old template provided by Richard Ashcroft, therefore previous applicants will not be required to renew their submissions. This thread exists for the sake of any updates and edits that may become necessary changes in the selection process: IF you would like to re-verify your application's pending status, you may update the thread or bump it once.

Applicants have the option of posting their completed application on this board or sending PMs to Witch, Biggrouse, and Captain Bob as an alternative: if you choose to send yours via PM please send it to all three recipients so that we may communicate and review your application more effectively.


  • What is a Moderator to RPH?

On Roleplay Heaven, our moderators are the quick and decisive thinkers; the people who understand a situation and can help to resolve it before it spins haywire. They are the voice of reason in an otherwise chaotic argument and can be firm when maintaining the neutrality. A moderator is quick to adapt to any scenario and always will do his or her best to aid the community.

The administration exists here to serve the player base. Ideally, we strive to improve the output of quality role-play a player can provide in a typical in-character environment. This means that while a moderator is not expected to host role-plays or participate in them, we are first and foremost a role-play server and our duties are often associated with role-play. A moderator should be well-versed in Warcraft lore as well as the English language and should be willing to spectate or even moderate the main phase or other role-playing discrepancies as necessary.

The community will always look up to a moderator and expect him or her to be ready to act. Remember this!

Stage One: Questions

Be honest and try to meet word counts. Make sure your grammar is good here, it will be examined. Don't become daunted, and show us you at your best.

Main Character Name: the character that you will probably be seen the most on.

Account Name: the name you use to log on with.

How long have you been on the server?: this can be checked.

Activity?: how active can you be? Add your timezone and area in here, as well as any details you find relevant to your activity. E.g., school, work, holidays etc. Please think long term.

Have you ever had to deal with customers/players?: either in real life or on a server. Write a bit about it too, please - perhaps where it was, when it was and why you feel this can help you in RPH.

Do you have any referees?: perhaps a moderator, admin or player could vouch for you. This isn't really important, but it will be checked for falsehoods.

Write about your favorite period/subject of WoW lore (100 words or more): this could be a diverse range of things; racial lore, something controversial or something original! Don't be limited by your own preferences, and you can research these things!

Describe your favorite character, either yours or in lore (50 words or more): don't just focus on appearance or history. We would like a quick summary of the character on the whole, though don't be limited by word count.

What would you do differently about the server?: what can you provide for the server? What makes you an individual? What can you bring that no other moderator has brought? What can you change? Don't be generic here, and don't think about it too much. Simply say what you feel.

Write about yourself (100 words or more): give us an idea of who we'll be working with in your own words. Perhaps you'd like to include what other people have said about you. Write a few hobbies down maybe - we just want an idea of your personality.

Ideals for moderators may change so please do not think about this tactically or too much!

2. As a moderator (someone who will enforce server policy), I would describe myself as...

a. relaxed.
b. decisive.
c. strict.

3. When it comes to WoW lore I am...

a. a strict follower.
b. open-minded to interpretations and different ideas.
c. not a follower; I only do custom lore.

4. To me, grammar is...

a. important for communication.
b. useful for telling the difference between a bad and a good role-player.
c. used for the vanity of role-players.

5. I believe rules should be used as...

a. a shield for role players; people should be allowed to do what they want as long as it does not harm others.
b. a set of restrictions for bad role-play, so we can eliminate non/bad role-players from the server.
c. a set of forced restrictions on every role player, good or bad, for the good of the server on the whole.

a. they are here to help the server.

Stage Three: Practical Work

Once your application is completed, it will be reviwed and you will be considered by the administration. This stage could include your guides, role-plays in the game and other helpful and role-play orientated activities that you do. Simple as that!

I'd like to say that failure to hit word counts shows a distinct lack of effort by any standard. A word count is a minimum, not a maximum. 100s and 50s aren't even much.
