Added BFA NPCs to database. You can now also make 8.2/bfa NPCs in NPC forge. Also published list of 8.2 NPCs here and list of all BFA gameobjects here.

Download new 8.2.5 client here. Custom gameobject patch has been disabled temporary as we're fixing the way custom patch is streamed to the client. Custom gobs will be back within 24 hours.

We updated to 8.2.5 as we had some issues due to Blizzcon today removing 8.2.0 version from their content delivery network and hence half of people getting "Streaming error". We will post new 8.2.5 Wow.exe in couple of minutes, you just need to drag it into your existing RPHTiny/_retail_ folder.

WoW won't open ! Need Help !

Alright,  I'm forced to create my own topic because it seems i'm the only one having this particular problem ... Which makes me think that probably I won't find a solution  , anyway , let's get to the point.

I've been trying to play for weeks now and I've been unable to , whenever I try to open WoW.exe the game just won't "pop" . In the task manager the WoW process is running but the game is just not showing up anytime soon.

I was told to wait up to 20 mins . I waited 6 hours and the game didn't pop . The game itself is running but using only 3,8 memory and literally nothing else .

I tried downloading WoW from BNET and replacing the files with the RPHTiny files , still , the game did not open.

 

I really want to play and if you guys find a solution to my problem i'd be in eternal gratitude.

 

PS: If you have a link to a patched RPH client , please do give it to me . Thanks .

1. Re-download the client. 

2. Save it to a folder on your desktop.

3. Right-click the Wow.exe (not Wow-64.exe) and select "Run as Administrator".

4. Leave the background process running for at least an hour.

I did what you said , still , the same happened . The WoW process is there but nothing happens , I don't know what could be the problem :/

Could just be that your download speed is slow. As long as the WoW process is running, the game could still be downloading the initial files you need to run the game. You can try running the game in compatibility mode (for Windows 7, xp, service pack 3, etc), but I doubt this'll make any difference.

With the initial start of RPH, if it's a fresh download it make take a few times to load up or take a lengthy time to boot it does an initial gathering of certain files connecting to the stream to do so. It took me a bit before I was able to actually boot WoW.


Chaos is nigh coming once more to Azeroth, will we survive against the Legions hordes once more?

I don't think it's download speed , I've got 160mbp/s ... I'll let the game download for the whole night and tell you guys what happened.

Here are some other options that I tried too,

Run in admin, restart pc etc give it time. Hope it all goes well.


Chaos is nigh coming once more to Azeroth, will we survive against the Legions hordes once more?

Well , I did as I said. Nothing happened , guess it's just a problem of my PC ... A shame because I really wanted to play again , specially in legion.

ok so i am having the same problem but i tried re-downloading it and adding in the 7config file and left it over night and it still did not work. and i have tried restarting
