SO, I'm not too sure how well this'll all go over, but there's this thing....
PROJECT: Silent Blossom is something I would describe as a collective of ideas at this point. It has existed for a long time now, popping up here and there on retail and RPH. It's gone by many ideas, but at this point I've decided to try and dedicate myself to something that'll pull all of what I've been trying to do for years.
Based around Pandaren, and importantly Pandaria itself, Silent Blossom aims to highlight points in pandaren culture, and bring them to players to experience. Originally it was meant to be a simple player home for pandaren players (with hosting-aspects aswell), but over the past few days I've heard some interesting ideas from people coming to check out the phase. This has lead me to putting this out there for you all to see- as of now, I'm hoping to find others who wish to help me bring about what I'm aiming for, as-well bring their own unique ideas to the phase.
Going forward, here are some bullet points on what I wish to accomplish
-Create a player home for pandaren and like-minded peoples
Player homes were always meant to be readily available to phase members, but originally for pandaren only. I'd like to extend that invitation to those who can prove their worth to the valley (outsiders). Earning the right to live in the valley will require a number of tests- the Huojin might be fine with bashful orcs staying around them, but the pandaren here will not.
-Create in-phase economy for players
A unique thing I hope will pan out fine is creating an in-game economy through the use of an addon- gryphonitms, if I am correct. The addon allows the use of creating custom items, and in this way I hope to pursue the trade of gold for goods.
-Establish a guild or guilds for different aspects of the phase
In the end, I hope to have made multiple groups representing the various points of pandaren culture. The arena, for their love of fighting. Those who supply the valley with food, working alongside the renowned chef's and brewmasters to show their love of indulgence. The monastery for the classic monks and additionally the geomancers, who are closerly tied to the spirits of the land. Over time, maybe their will be more. Who knows.
-Establish group for training monks and geomancers
The monastery will provide a space for monks and geomancers to go about themselves. This building is a place of study and practice. A place for knowledge, and insight. As most people know about the monks, I figure focusing on geomancy is important. In Pandaria, geomancers use the elements by honoring their ancestors, who have become one with the land.
-Establish group for supplying the valley
The valley has no farms; given its location, growing crops is a waste of resources, and so trade with the Valley of the Four winds keeps the valley supplied. With all of its supplies being brought from another province, businesses are encouraged in the valley. This group consists of shopkeepers and innkeepers.
-Establish group of specialty chefs and brew-masters
Pandaria is well known for its delicious cuisine, and the size of the pandaren show how tasty it can be. However, some of the finest chef's and brewmasters will have come to the valley to sell off their skills- competing with the others for business.
Pandarens love to fight, all in jest. It isn't a matter of violence, it's a matter of honing your skills and testing your comrades. However some in the valley aren't blind to the exploits; knowing the profit a good fight can bring, an arena has begun construction.
At the end of the day, I don't expect much from this little project of mine. All I want to do, is bring an underrated expac back to life in it's own way, while also giving people something fun to enjoy. My hope is that this will all lead to many different avenues of RP in one place, and bring a mix of different people to take part.
If you wish to take a look at the phase so far, go ahead! .ph j 48020
