Main Character Name: Goobs the Curses Salesman
Account Name: Hodor
How long have you been on the server?: 4 years (since December 17th, 2014)
Activity?: relatively active. i pay attention to the discord server and i'm in-game most days.
Have you ever had to deal with customers/players?: yes, plenty of times. i've hosted roleplays, tutored retards, volunteered for church, and worked in retail. i'm familiar with what the average person is capable of mentally and physically. roleplayers are no different, but they typically inhabit the more wacky side of the human psyche.
Do you have any referees?: pot the orc, dorage, lundgren, tobias, nortwin, righteousdingo, lew, ballsmalloney, fewl, cereal, jacklyn, shaofpride, gavinlad, erkor, dove
Write about your favorite period/subject of WoW lore (100 words or more): magic has always and forever will be my favorite subject when it comes to world of warcraft. i personally believe that, out of any fantasy universe, WoW portrays magic the best. it's not just the arcane that intrigues me, but any kind of mysticism, such as shamanism or druidism. i am so in love with magic that it's almost too difficult to create a character without some magical quirk. point being, there's something satisfying about outwitting someone with a flick of the wrist or squeeze of the brain. it's bullshit, i love it.
Describe your favorite character, either yours or in lore (50 words or more): i've come to realize that i don't really have a favorite world of warcraft character, and that i enjoy most of the characters in the lore (aside from sylvanas and jaina). i've seen plenty of magnificent (and undesirable) characters being roleplayed on RPH, but the ones that stand out are three-dimensional in their backstory. characters that have seen growth, strife, victory, and defeat: those characters are uncommon, but i love to see them every time. kudos to the beautiful players that stay true to story writing without jumping straight to being "big powerful". you inspire me, and you are my favorites.
What would you do differently about the server?: i've been very vocal about this, and i'll say it again: server wide quality checks. when a phase cannot deliver clean roleplay to hungry roleplayers, they must be put in line. when an accusation comes through, i go to investigate. there are many questions i will ask phase owners and staff when it comes to the phase, ranging from semi-personal to professional. there's nothing i hate more than drama unfolding because a phase is performing controversially, or poorly. there's always a new "flavor of the month", with the labels being different but the taste being the same old shit nobody enjoyed before. when quality is assured by a moderator, there's hope for a phase: the official [Mod Approved] stamp by a phase advertisement lets a roleplayer know that the phase has been quality checked and that, if they fail to find enjoyment in it, that it was their own failure to engage in the roleplay properly that disappointed them. you are here to roleplay, not bicker at one another every day about the same stinky phases. allow me to intervene. also, players sitting in start with underage characters (particularly those that accept romance) will be banned for 24 hours. once the 24 hours is up, the character must be deleted or remade to be appropriate for the environment. this may be a roleplay server where you act out your fantasies, but it is not an outlet for your pedophilic garbage. it is not healthy and it leaves a stain that reeks. quality checks will not be exclusive to phases; player TRPs in start are prone to being examined. if i give you advice, ponder on it, but recognize that you are not obligated to conform to my advice. i give advice if i believe you can do better, and it's not mean to intimidate or patronize you. i would love to have a healthy discussion about your character's lore, development, and other characteristics without spite. i am not just here to enforce a standard, but my main goal is to help you improve your roleplay. i'm not just a moderator, i am your friend. let me help you.
Write about yourself (100 words or more): i am a writer, philosopher, and a Roleplayer. my parents, some teachers, and a few friends consider me gifted when it comes to writing, but i prefer to leave it up to complete strangers when it comes to my work. most of the time i am relaxed, and not easily angered. when i do get angry, i can easily restrain myself. in a position of authority, i am able to remain calm in order to make the right decision. it's easy to get along with me so long as you are able to joke around; when it's time to get serious, i'll let you know. communication is key to understanding one another.
