If that is true then that is very good, things will be able to go back to the way they were before for patching.
Similar, but not quite. The new method involves using a CDN server to push "updates" directly into CASC, which otherwise has been inaccessible. Fortunately RPH may be a bit more open to the patches it pushes to clients (unlike another server), but it will likely still be a matter of a patch maker doing their work, testing it by replacing things on their client, and then sending it in to possibly be added to the CDN. I'm not sure if there's an official means for patch submission yet.
