Item Forge now fully works with hidden (NPC) displays and custom items were wiped, however there won't be any more wipes in the future. Also .refresh no longer displays annoying goggles.

@  dr3ad : (05 November 2019 - 02:51 AM)

@  dr3ad : (02 November 2019 - 04:09 AM)

Download new 8.2.5 client here. Custom gameobject patch has been disabled temporary as we're fixing the way custom patch is streamed to the client. Custom gobs will be back within 24 hours.

@  dr3ad : (01 November 2019 - 10:26 PM)

We updated to 8.2.5 as we had some issues due to Blizzcon today removing 8.2.0 version from their content delivery network and hence half of people getting "Streaming error". We will post new 8.2.5 Wow.exe in couple of minutes, you just need to drag it into your existing RPHTiny/_retail_ folder.

@  dr3ad : (31 October 2019 - 05:19 PM)

Make sure to delete your cache folder if you experience freeze on character selection screen.

@  dr3ad : (30 October 2019 - 10:59 PM)

A question to all of you beautiful troglodytes out there sitting in your basements whilst reading this post.

What is your general stance on DM's participating in a story driven phase on one of their own characters (Not casual RP. Nor City RP. We're talking about a regularly DMed phase, where player actions tend to matter a lot and shape the world around them.) yay or nay, what do you say and why?

Also, a note: The DM's character would be of equal worth as any other Non-DM player in this scenario.

I used to do this a lot in the past. I had a character and roleplayed along with the people I DM'd for. While I really do enjoy playing characters myself and my chars are often popular, it's much more efficient to focus purely on DMing. Everything will go faster, because it essentially halves your tasks in the RP. Especially if you got a lot of complex mechanics that require calculations. I even wrote a Python program to help me out with some of the Calculations in one of my new systems for Naval Combat.

Sum of the cardemom: If you've got complex systems, focus on DMing. If you have easy systems (really just /roll systems), then you can both DM and participate as a char.

nothing stopping you simply making an NPC of your character and rping them when you feel, in your interactive world, is right

if you want to be an adventurer like the rest of them then dont host the phase or write your personal character to be as clueless to the wider workings as the rest unless you want them to be a plot thread having a custom lore character lead the way isnt wrong or bad

If you can handle it (And don't try to hog the spotlight all the time when you do it) go for it. Sometimes I do, sometimes I don't.

I did this for a long time, but I think subconciously, the players are aware of your bias towards your own character and just end up hating/disliking your character no matter what you do.

this isnt really a question; it's totally fine for a host to engage in their RPs so long as the process of events does not suffer for it -- it's not easy either depending on what it is you're doing and to what extent you need to reply to other people, etc

I usually engage with my characters before The whole event happens, Dropping IC info and then AT the end of the RP.

Y'alls.

DM's have every right to participate in a story event - moreso if it's of their creation. At the end of it all, the story should be going as /they/ planned, be it barebones and improv, or railroaded start-to-end.

i agree with this i dont like it because most of the time the dm is just sitting there using it to jerk his own dick.

half the fun of being a dm is seeing how players can unexpecteldy blow up your plans and force *you* to be the one improvising.
